It wasn’t so much that it was cold but that it was windy.

Sooooo freakin’ windy.

Have you picked out a pumpkin yet?

We went to a U-Pick farm last weekend and took Harper along for the ride.

When we stepped off the wagon and onto the pumpkin patch, I was ready to pick the first pumpkin I saw, and yours, too, if you’d let me, just to get back on the wagon that led us back to the steady warmth of the car.

Usually we pick a pair of pumpkins for the front steps for symmetry and all, but given the (cold) circumstances, we grabbed a single handsome orange gourd and called it a day.

This 5-Minute Pumpkin Yogurt Bowl is a similarly good-looking orange situation that I think you’re going to want to dip into.

Ready in fewer minutes than it takes to freeze on a blustery ay at the pumpkin patch– I counted.

Last night in yoga, my instructor talked about how our perceived lack of time is all a matter of mindset.

Basically, that we make time for the things that matter.

“You made time for yoga,” she said, strolling through the parted sea of down dogs to the back of the studio room.

This is true, I thought, hanging out in down dog with the clarity and calm that always finds me at the studio.

And amidst all of the ceaseless tasks and torturous to-dos, guess what?!

I also made time to make a smoothie bowl.

You guys, I’m pretty sure I’m currently in the middle of a quarter-life crisis.

Hi, friends!

You’ve been loving my Banana Free Smoothie Bowls and Galaxy Bowls (Blue Galaxy Bowl & Green Galaxy Bowl) so today I’m  sharing this entirely fruit-free shake recipe.

While I do love fruit in my shakes, I can safely say that I don’t miss them in this one.

These creamy fruit-free shakes are all about low-sugar options when you’re not feeling you’re tutti fruitiest.

Sometimes I want more of a savory breakfast, especially if I hit the dark chocolate hard the night before, ya know?

I really didn’t know what to call this masterpiece because nothing seemed to accurately describe their awesome-ness.

Finally, a friend on Instagram suggested that I call them “Fake Out” Shakes because they look like dessert but are essentially a salad in milkshake form.

Brilliant.

These Fruit-Free “Fake Out” Shakes pack a whopping 2 cups of frozen veg in each serving, plus healthy fats and plenty of protein.

This Thai Carrot Sweet Potato Soup is made on the stovetop with root vegetables and yellow curry paste blended with a spoonful of nut butter. I used a standing blender but you can also use an immersion blender to achieve the creamiest consistency.

I love topping my soup with cilantro, @edenfoods Tamari Roasted Almonds, and @edenfoods Hot Pepper Sesame Oil.

Whether you love TFK as much as I do, you’re going to be obsessed with my version of this cauliflower! It’s baked and then coated in a tahini sauce and topped with fresh herbs, cranberries, and hazelnuts. Enjoy it as an appetizer or side! Cozy and delicious all year round.
