Cheezy White Bean Dip made with white beans, nutritional yeast, and tahini. Serve with vegetables or crackers or added to salads and bowls.
This past week I gave M the prestigious role of being my accountability buddy for my writing course.
His job is to check in me with daily and ask, “How is your writing going, Lauren?”
Lately he’s taken to asking as a snarky retort to a conversation.
For example, I’ll ask if he did the dishes yet, and he will respond with, “No, but how is your writing going?!”
Well, you got me there.
I think we can agree that while this isn’t the best delivery, but the man is doing a good job of keeping my accountable, friends.
The goal of the class is to have “sitting in the chair” for at *least* one hour every day, practicing our writing.
Luckily, I do a lot of writing for my blog, social media, and correspondence with brands and the F&V community.
But, does that count?
And I’m asking for myself, not expecting you to have a response, friend.
I’m still working on what I want to write, what I want to say, and whether or not that can be found inside of the tiny niche I have created in the vegan food scene.
But today we are very much inside of the vegan food scene, and I’m glad to be here with you.
Today I’m sharing a dip that is to die for.
This is a dip that hands down makes everything taste better, elevated, …MORE.
This Cheezy White Bean Dip is made with white beans, nutritional yeast, and tahini for a delicious dip that’s as versatile as it is delicious.
What You Need to Make Cheezy White Bean Dip
Here’s what you need to make this bean dip:
- white beans (great northern, navy, or cannellini beans)
- runny tahini
- nutritional yeast
- lemon
- garlic powder
- Himalayan sea salt
- black pepper
That’s it!
How to Make Cheezy White Bean Dip
This Cheezy White Bean Dip is so easy to make!
You just need a blender and the ingredients listed.
Add all of the ingredients (beans, tahini, yeast, lemon juice, water, garlic powder, salt, pepper) to a high speed blender and process until thick and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
Taste and add more nutritional yeast for “cheezy” flavor, lemon juice for acidity, and more garlic, salt, and pepper, to taste.
The increments I listed were I thought was the tastiest, but add more or less to make your taste buds happy!
About the Beans
Any white beans will work for this recipe!
I usually use cannellini beans, but great northern or navy beans work well, too.
While I haven’t chickpeas, I’m sure they will work to make a tasty dip, too!
However, the creaminess of white beans is what makes this white bean dip super smooth and silky.
How to Serve Cheezy White Bean Dip
This Cheezy White Bean Dip would be perfect as a dip for entertaining!
Transfer the dip to a bowl and top it with fresh herbs for contrast and serve it with crackers, veggies, or chips.
However, I usually love to make this Cheezy White Bean Dip as an addition to my meals for the week!
You can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
It’s super versatile, so you can use it for snacking with cucumbers, carrots, or celery.
I also love adding a dollop to bowls, salads, or anything that needs a little extra flavor and sauciness.
Enjoy!
