Refreshing 4-ingredient cherry berry spritzers naturally sweetened with dates and ready to sip in 10 minutes. The perfect sweet drink for summer!
I’m in total berry mode right now, so don’t mind me while I throw berries into quite literally everything.
This time of year the nights seem longer and calmer, and I love to enjoy them outdoors, with some good food and drink, of course.
These Cherry Berry Spritzers are the perfect excuse to use up all of those fresh or frozen berries left in your fridge to make a cool beverage without any added sugars.
Growing up, my parents didn’t really stock soda cans in the house, save maybe the occasional 7-UP or Sprite, so it was always such a treat when I went to my best friend’s house and they broke out the Dr. Pepper.
It. Was. Amazing.
I was probably riding that caffeine high for days.
But now kids can get excited to see their favorite Zevia flavors at their BFF’s house.
All the flavor, with none of the nasty ingredients.
If you’ve been following me for a while now, you know that I like all of my recipes to be refined sugar free, and this recipe is no exception.
I was excited to try Zevia, stevia leaf sweetened soda, because it’s non GMO, sugar free, and made without any artificial sweeteners.
I love blending the soda with fresh or frozen fruit to make fun spritzers that are the perfect thing to sip on this spring and summer.
The sweetness of this recipe is totally dependent on how many dates you put in.
As Zevia and the frozen fruit are already naturally sweet, I only added 1-2 dates for a little caramel flavor.
You can omit dates altogether if you prefer your spritzer dryer or add a few more for a sweeter flavor.
Enjoy this fruity spritzer on a warm spring evening on the patio, sip on it poolside in summer, or double or triple the recipe to serve as a pretty dinner party favors.
