Description

Chocolate tahini banana pops are the vegan treat you need this summer! Frozen bananas drizzled in tahini and chocolate and rolled in nuts.

Ingredients

  • 3 bananas, peeled and halved
  • ¼ cup Soom Foods Tahini
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (I like walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Insert a popsicle stick into each halved banana and place them on the parchment lined baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle tahini over ¾ the banana, working towards the popsicle base. Roll the banana to spread the tahini evenly so the banana is well-coated.
  4. Transfer the sheet pan meal to the freezer while you prepare the melted chocolate.
  5. Add the dark chocolate chips to a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Heat the chocolate chips until they’re completely melted, stirring frequently to prevent them from burning.
  6. Remove the sheet pan from the freezer and drizzle the melted chocolate over ¾ the banana. Roll the banana slightly to completely coat the banana in chocolate.
  7. Immediately roll the chocolate covered banana in crushed nuts. Transfer the sheet pan meal back to the freezer for 1-2 hours to allow the bananas to freeze and completely set.
  8. When the bananas are frozen and the chocolate is set, transfer the banana pops to an airtight freezer-safe container and store in the freezer for up to one month.
