Creamy cilantro lime avocado dip with avocado, unsweetened almond milk yogurt, fresh herbs, and lime. Serve with grain-free crackers!
You know you’re an adult when you start planning months or even weeks ahead to pencil your friends in for a simple lunch-date.
One friend and I scheduled ours in for almost two months out; the first Saturday free blank on both our day-planners.
Lately my calendar is been a scary place lately; one I force myself to enter each morning as I sip matcha and plan for the day ahead.
Between balancing yoga teacher training and rigorous work schedule around it, I feel like I should have a permanent away message slapped on my forehead.
But even with my daily scheduling check-in, I’m still baffled at how fast January went by.
I mean, weren’t we just setting new years intentions and goals and stuff?
Next weekend is already the first weekend in February, and also happens to be Super Bowl Sunday.
If you’ve been here a while, you know I’m about as confident watching football as I am public speaking.
AKA not very.
However, I AM very confident in the concept of game-time snacks.
This Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Dip is the perfect healthy dip to share, packed with satiating good fats, herbs, and citrus!
What To Make with Avocados that’s Not Guac
It occurred to me recently that I eat avocado every day in some form.
How about you?
This intrigues me, because back until my late teenage years and early twenties, I didn’t even know what avocado was.
And I certainly didn’t know how easy it was to slice one open, pop out the pit, and scoop the green flesh onto everything.
Anyway, these days, it’s one of those healthy fats that I just can’t live without.
Usually I’m pretty basic and boring in my avocado consumption, serving it as its glorious green self alongside plates and bowls.
In other words, give me an avocado and something to dip and I’ll make avocado a dip all on its own.
But sometimes it’s nice to use whole foods to make something a little more elaborate, right?
This Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Dip gets you your daily dose of avo, elevated!
What You Need to Make Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Dip
This creamy green dip combines ripe avocado flesh with almond milk yogurt, cilantro, and squeezed lime juice.
The result is a flavorful concoction of healthy fats, protein, and greens.
Here’s what you need:
- avocado
- almond or coconut milk yogurt
- Himalayan sea salt
- lime
- green onion
- fresh cilantro
- garlic powder
That’s it!
If you’re not a fan of cilantro, try subbing parsley or basil here instead. I love cilantro!
How to Make Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Dip
The method here is so simple.
Add everything to a blender or food processor and process until you have a smooth thick spread.
Almond milk yogurt adds extra creaminess without any added oils and without making the spread too runny.
I recommend using a thicker brand of gum-free yogurt to ensure your dip is the right consistency.
Taste the dip straight from the blender and add more Himalayan sea salt lime juice, cilantro, or garlic to your liking.
I added a bit more lime juice to mine and a few more cilantro leaves!
You can serve the dip immediately or chill it in the fridge for several hours until cold.
Hu Kitchen Grain-Free Crackers
So now you’ve got a super healthy dip– what should we serve it with?
How about my new favorite Hu Kitchen Grain-Free Everything Crackers
I’m obsessed with these grain-free crackers made with almond flour, cassava flour, and coconut flour.
What makes an everything cracker? Well, everything, like organic sesame seed, sea salt, black chia seed, organic onion, flax seed, organic coconut aminos, organic poppy seed, organic garlic, and organic apple cider vinegar.
They also have two other great flavors– Hu Kitchen Pizza Grain-Free Crackers and Hu Kitchen Sea Salt Grain-Free Crackers!
These crackers are special because while being totally vegan, gluten-free, and grain-free, they’re also free of any added oils and gums.
The recipe is also made without the use of tapioca, soy, maltodextrin, and refined starches.
If you’re a cracker connoisseur like I am, you know that in the cracker world, this is quite an accomplishment.
They’re crispy, crave-able, and perfectly seasoned for any snacking situation.
I love dipping them into this Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Dip for a healthy snack-time not compromised of flavor!
How to Serve Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Dip
Enjoy this Creamy Cilantro Lime Avocado Dip as an anytime healthier dip.
It would be perfect to blend up for game-time, dinner parties, bookclub hosting, or part of your meal-prep for the week.
The recipe below serves 3-4, but you can double or triple the recipe to serve more guests.
The lime juice will prevent the avocado from browning for a few days, but the dip will start to oxidize and brown over time.
For this reason, I recommend enjoying it as soon as possible for the best taste and appearance!
Try serving it with crackers, raw vegetables, or chips.
If you have leftover dip, it’s great to add as a dressing to bowls, plates, or sandwiches.
Enjoy!

Couldn’t find the recipe for the 36,000 ads constantly playing. Lost interest. I’m sure it might have been good.
