Easy Beet Hummus (Oil-Free!) served in a bowl with carrot chips by Flora & Vino

On travel this past weekend I packed a seemingly ridiculous amount of snacks.

Snacks erupting from every crevice of my packed purple suitcase: raw bars, granola, hummus– the works.

But snacks can really make or break your day, yeah?

They can take you from hangry to happy in an instant.

Bonus points if they’re PINK.

I’m excited to share this colorful new chip & dip combo to make your snack time both pretty and delicious.

Pretty delicious.

This Easy Beet Hummus (Oil Free!) is ready in less than 10 minutes for easy snacking that’s raw, oil free, and packed with nutrients!

Why Make Your Own Beet Hummus

This has been the summer of hummus for me.

Yes, it’s a love story.

Not a day goes by that I don’t incorporate it into a meal in some capacity, as a dip, a spread, or a quick spoonful.

It’s just so versatile, satisfying, and comforting!

I love making my own hummus because I can control the spices and consistency, while keeping the recipe oil free and lower in sodium.

Pair Carrot Chips & Beet Hummus

Lately, when I get home from yoga, the first thing I do (before making my meal) is rip open a bag of Bare Snacks Carrot Chips and dip them in any hummus available in the fridge.

Have you tried them yet?

I first talked about them in my 5-Ingredient Perfect Guacamole, but now they’re back and I’m dipping them in beet hummus.

You’re going to love the pairing of salty sweet crunchy baked carrots paired with blended beets and chickpeas!

If veg on veg is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

How to Make Beet Hummus Easy

Occasionally I get bored with my usual chickpea purée and decide to go crazy with mix-ins.

In this case, I threw in a raw beet and watched the blender turn vibrant pink.

I’m not going to say it tastes better pink, but….you can’t argue with the incorporation of beets for extra nutrients, minerals, and fiber!

The key to this recipe is to blend until very smooth and creamy to get any unwanted beet chunks out, adding filtered water as needed to get your ideal consistency.

The result is a creamy, vibrant spread that will make you simultaneously smile and drool.

How to Serve Easy Beet Hummus (Oil-Free!)

Add this Easy Beet Hummus (Oil-Free!) as a super simple spread to your dipping arsenal!

The recipe is very basic, but if you want a little more flair, try adding a bit of your favorite spice or herb to mix things up.

I used raw beets for a simple raw hummus, but you can try roasting or steaming them first for a different flavor!

It’s great served with fresh herbs and a side of carrot chips for dipping.

Enjoy!
