Green Grape Protein Shake made with banana, frozen grapes, frozen spinach, and creamy avocado. The perfect way to fuel on busy mornings!
Every new year calls for a new green shake, right?
I’m not a big believer in the “detox” mentality that diet culture pushes on us this time of year.
Instead of focusing on how much we can take out of our diet, what if we focused on how much we can add in?
On New Years Day, I woke up tired, happy, and hopeful after a late night spent with friends.
And then I blended up this green grape shake and slurped it down before heading to a yoga intention setting workshop.
This Green Grape Protein Shake is a a fresh take on your favorite green shake.
You’re going to love the combination of banana, frozen grapes, frozen spinach, and creamy avocado for the perfect pairing of nourishing foods.
I hope this Green Grape Protein Shake will show you new ways to incorporate greens, fruit, and protein into your 2023 lifestyle!
It’s going to be a good year, friends.
If you’ve never tried grapes in your shakes, you’re in for a real treat this year.
The new year is the perfect time to set new goals and try new things!
And this Green Grape Protein Shake, let me tell you, should be one of them!
What You Need to Make Green Grape Protein Shake
Here’s what you need to make a Green Grape Protein Shake:
- unsweetened almond milk
- vanilla protein powder
- frozen banana
- frozen green grapes
- frozen spinach
- avocado
That’s it!
Add Green Grapes to Shakes!
What makes this shake different and fun is the incorporation of frozen grapes.
One of my favorite things to do with grapes that are turning too fast is to freeze them!
They make for a great frozen snack.
However, it wasn’t until recently that I took it a step further and tried blending them into a protein shake!
How to Prep the Frozen Produce
While this shake takes just 5 minutes to make, you do need to prep the frozen fruit and veg in advance.
I recommend freezing the banana, grapes, and spinach in advance to incorporate into the shake.
Freezing them overnight or for at least 8 hours should do the trick!
How to Make Green Grape Protein Shake
Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender and process everything on high until it’s smooth and creamy.
Serve the shake immediately in a glass.
You can also add slightly less almond milk to blend this shake into a smoothie bowl!
If you make a smoothie bowl, pour the blender contents into a bowl and serve it with your favorite toppings.
My favorite shake OR smoothie bowl toppings for this one are granola, cacao nibs, and unsweetened shredded coconut.
How to Serve Green Grape Protein Shake
Try this Green Grape Protein Shake anytime you’re craving something fresh and green.
I love blending it up after a long night or whenever I feel like I need some edible self-care for breakfast.
It’s a great way to save and use up over-ripe bananas, grapes, avocado, and spinach in one meal.
Give them new life in this green shake.
Drink it from the glass or spoon it from a bowl; both ways are delicious!
Enjoy!
