Description

Easy 5-ingredient apple butter made with unsweetened applesauce. This fall spread is lightly sweet with date paste, apple cider, and a touch of kombucha.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 3/4 cup all-natural apple-juice or apple cider
  • 2 TBSP Mad Magic Apple Cinnamon Kombucha
  • 12 TBSP date paste  (optional)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk with a fork to combine.
  2. Bring the mixture to a low boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for ~45 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Allow to cool completely, then divide low sugar applesauce apple butter between glass (canning) jars and seal tight.
  4. Store Low Sugar Applesauce Apple Butter in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
