4-ingredient Maple Walnut Bliss Balls with maple syrup and toasted walnuts! Perfect for meal prep and squashing hunger on cool autumn days.
Clearly my energy ball situation is way ahead of my closet (and most other adult-ish things) this season!
My kitchen is all decked out in Maple Walnut Bliss Balls while my closet is still strewn with tank tops, shorts, and flip flops.
I really should go “seasonalize” my wardrobe for colder weather, but first things first, I want to share with you what happens when toasted walnuts, medjool dates, maple syrup, and oats get together…
It’s called Maple Walnut BLISS and you need to try it for fall.
Maybe even before you pull out the flannel and riding boots, OK?
You’re going to love these four ingredient treats that kind of look (and taste) like sugar dusted donut holes.
These easy to make bites are packed with protein, Omega-3s, and fiber!
The best way I can describe them to you is…they TASTE the way stepping into a mess of crunchy leaves under boots FEELS.
Quintessential fall.
What You Need to Make Maple Walnut Bliss Balls
Here’s what you need to make Maple Walnut Bliss Balls:
- walnuts
- gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats
- Medjool dates
- Coombs Organic Maple Syrup
- maple sugar
That’s it!
How to Make Maple Walnut Bliss Balls
Grind the rolled oats to a flour by adding them to a high-speed blender or food processor and pulsing until you have a fine meal.
Add the toasted walnuts, dates, and maple syrup and process again until the mixture clumps together into a large sticky ball.
Scoop the dough out with a cookie scoop or spoon and and roll them into ~1 to 1.5 TBSP balls with your hands.
Serve your maple walnut bliss balls plain or roll in maple/coconut sugar for aesthetics.
Store balls in the refrigerator for up to one week and freeze for long term storage.
Coombs Organic Maple Syrup
So let’s talk about maple syrup for a minute.
I love using it as a natural, plant-based, and refined sugar-free sweetener for dressings, marinades, baking, and in this case, no-baking!
Coombs Organic Maple Syrup is always in my fridge because the syrup is farmed and harvested without chemicals, making it a healthy organic options to add in any dish that needs a little sweetness.
The Coombs family are seventh generation farmers that have been in the industry since the mid-1800’s.
That’s a whole lot of maple syrup!
What makes Coombs Family Farms different is their support of small family farms that in return encourages sustainability and higher quality products.
It makes me happy to support brands that in return support small family farms, because the farm to table approach to eating helps me become a more mindful consumer.
I don’t know about you, but I like to know how my sticky sweet Maple Walnut Bliss Balls came to be!
Before the whole kitchen looking like a tornado blew through thing…
How to Serve Maple Walnut Bliss Balls
Enjoy these Maple Walnut Bliss Balls as a quick snack or dessert.
With all of the nutritional benefits, they’re also totally suitable as pre/post workout fuel!
Throw a few in your gym bag for before or after that sweaty kickboxing class (like the one I’m hitting tonight!).
I think they taste great with coffee or tea, preferably while snuggled up in blankets somewhere.
If you’re pressed for time and need Maple Walnut Bliss Balls like NOW, you can skip toasting the walnuts, but I highly recommend keeping this step if possible!
The toasted walnuts add depth of flavor AND make your kitchen smell absolutely amazing, which is totally part of the whole process, right?
Enjoy!

I LOVE these! This recipe is the reason I’ve started buying the big bag of walnuts at costco. These are a lifesaver on busy mornings when I dong have time for a hot breakfast. I just grab a couple bliss balls and run out the door!
My biggest complaint: my fiancé often eats my stash and doesn’t help make more!
