Peaches ‘N’ Cream Protein Shake made with frozen peaches, banana, and non-dairy yogurt. Perfect for a post-workout summer breakfast or snack!
It’s hot here, friends, and I’m struggling to fit in my long runs for marathon training without melting.
Even when I set an alarm to beat the sun, I open the weather app to find the dawn temperature lingering just below 80 degrees.
But when I can peel myself off of the couch, lace up my sneakers, and step out onto the asphalt, usually the temperature falls into the background.
There’s something really lovely about running before the day begins.
Lately, my favorite post-run fuel is this Peaches ‘N’ Cream Protein Shake.
It’s so easy to blend up minutes after stepping through the door.
It’s cool and refreshing, lightly sweetened with banana and super creamy with almond milk yogurt with a hint of cinnamon.
What You Need to Make Peaches ‘N’ Cream Protein Shake
Here’s what you need:
- unsweetened almond milk
- unsweetened almond or cashew yogurt
- vanilla protein powder
- cinnamon
- frozen peaches
- frozen banana
That’s it!
What Frozen Fruit To Buy
I love this shake because it tastes fresh and fruity without having any *real* fresh fruit on hand.
Before making this shake, ensure you have frozen peaches and banana ready!
I usually buy pre-frozen peach slices for this recipe, but you can also slice fresh peaches and freeze them yourself for incorporation in this recipe, too.
Try halving your bananas in advance and stash them in the freezer to easily portion out this shake.
How to Make Peaches ‘N’ Cream Protein Shake
The addition of almond milk yogurt makes this shake super creamy without any dairy.
I love using this unsweetened almond milk or this cashew milk yogurt for the best flavor and consistency.
The blender does *all* of the work in this recipe.
Throw all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender or food processor and process until it’s smooth and creamy.
That’s it!
Swaps and Substitutions
You can easily adjust the thickness of this shake, too!
If it’s too thin, add a little more frozen peaches or banana.
For thinner shakes, add a splash or two more almond milk to get the blender blades moving.
I like mine thick but slurp-able.
Transfer the contents to a glass and serve immediately!
How to Serve Peaches ‘N’ Cream Protein Shake
Enjoy this Peaches ‘N’ Cream Protein Shake as an easy and delicious summer snack or breakfast.
It’s a great way to enjoy summer peaches in a drinkable format.
I love mine topped with crunchy granola and a bit of cinnamon before serving.
To make this recipe more of a smoothie bowl, simply add more frozen fruit and less almond milk.
Serve the blender contents in a bowl instead of a glass and add your favorite smoothie bowl toppings.
I love drinking mine after my morning runs!
Enjoy!

This looks delicious! I never thought to use almond milk yogurt instead of dairy so I’ll have to give this a try after my morning rides. I might also give it a try with different flavours of protein powder to see if makes much of a difference.
Hi Jessie,
Let me know what you think! I love this shake so much! Vanilla protein powder is my favorite. 🙂
