The perfect 5-Ingredient Guacamole for snacking and dipping. Pair with carrot chips for a killer complimentary color combination!
Can we talk about how much I love avocado?
Let me give you an idea in numbers and figures.
Last weekend when Dan went to the store I asked him to get 8-10 avocados.
And he didn’t bat an eye.
Partially for recipe testing this guacamole, but also because we actually eat that many avocados a week.
A day without avocado is like a day without sunshine…that’s a saying somewhere, right?
I’m so glad it’s socially acceptable to be enamored with this healthy fat, because I find ways to add it to everything.
One of the most common ways I eat avocados are in Mexican-themed bowls!
Typically, my idea of guacamole is smashing half an avocado and eating it straight from the shell, but sometimes a little dress up is nice.
This Perfect 5-Ingredient Guacamole is the sturdy foundation for your guacamole genius to build upon.
As the title suggests, it requires only 5 ingredients, 5 minutes, and a killer dipping partner.
Ready to get guacin’?
You know those avocados that you see on Instagram, cut in half and gleaming green, blinding in their unsullied perfectly?
Yeah?
Well, these are not those avocados.
The ones Dan brought home were a bit beat up, but, luckily, I was able to edit it out some of the spots for your viewing pleasure.
Can you tell?
Avos teach me about loving your imperfections on the daily, because, hey, those bruised, browned, and battered avos taste just as good as their flawless peers, friends!
I’ve never really been a chip person, OK?
Not saying that to be modest, I just truly never liked the things much.
But ever since Bare Snacks came out with a new line of veggie chips, I’ve had a problem.
A chip problem.
A problem keeping them in stock because they’re SO addicting.
Veggie chips, I can get on board with.
Their new carrot chips are seriously addicting, and I recently joked on Instagram that I’m in the “bag a day” club (#notkidding).
With only two ingredients (carrots, sea salt), I snack on these all day err day!
They’re baked to sweet perfection with a hint of sea salt and the perfect satisfying crunch.
You’re going to love them paired with this guac for a simple, tasty, and healthy snack.
The sweet carrot chips are literal perfection paired with this salted and spiced guacamole!
I used some beautiful white scallions instead of raw onion because I can digest them better, bu you can substitute regular onion instead.
If you want to dress this recipe up a little more, try adding in your favorite herb, like cilantro or parsley, for a fun mix.
I’ve also added tomatoes before, but be cautious (haha, sounds like it’s dangerous) because it does tend to water the guacamole down a bit.
Be sure not to over mix– chunkiness is KEY here!
All the better to dip you with, my dear…
Mix up this Perfect 5-Ingredient Guacamole in 5 minutes whenever you want to talk guac.
I like to mix mine up for a snack with carrots, bell pepper, or cucumber.
Or of course, carrot chips!
If you’re serving a bunch of guacamole fiends, double or triple the recipe to make sure you have enough to go around.
The guacamole will keep in the fridge for a few days, but it will start to brown and separate, so the sooner the enjoyed the better!
