Single serving sangria made right in your wine glass! Perfect to use up leftover wine or when you’re craving sangria but don’t want to make a full pitcher.
Have you ever wanted a glass of sangria but didn’t want to commit to a pitcher?
The solution is obviously…a recipe for a single serving of sangria.
I’ve been perfecting this lazy girl sangria recipe for a while now and I’m excited to share it with you.
But is it lazy or just genius?
The first time I mixed it standing in the kitchen; dumping frozen fruit and a drizzle of maple syrup to save a bottle of red that had maybe one good day left.
And indeed I did save it!
After sipping, I was surprised how delicious it was without any muddling or marinading.
M took one look at my fancy and effortless concoction and immediately made his own.
It’s amazing because you make it *directly* into your wine glass with just 4 ingredients and no ice required!
Grab some red, an empty wine glass, and let me show you how to make Single Serving Sangria.
Here’s what you need to make a solo sangria:
- frozen berries
- orange
- chilled red wine
- pure maple syrup
That’s it!
The *best* part about this recipe is that you make it directly in your wine glass (or whatever glass you have one hand).
Add the frozen berries directly into a large mouthed wine glass.
I love using a blend of frozen raspberries, blackberries, and wild blueberries.
You can also choose your favorite frozen berry and stick with that.
Frozen strawberries will also work, too, but I find that smaller frozen berries break down faster and add more flavor!
Squeeze the orange on top of the frozen berries, then pour in the chilled red wine.
If you didn’t remember to chill the red wine, that’s OK!
Try adding 1/2 cup more frozen berries to counteract the room temperature wine.
Next, add the maple syrup in 1 teaspoon increments and stir well.
Taste the sangria between increments to achieve your desired sweetness.
The amount of maple syrup you use is dependent on how much wine you added (6-9 oz.) and how sweet you like your sangria!
When it’s sweet enough, I like to let the sangria sit for 5-10 minutes for the berries to thaw and break down.
That’s it!
Enjoy this Single Serving Sangria whenever you’re craving sangria but don’t want to commit to a full pitcher.
It’s incredibly easy to make with just 4 ingredients.
Just because this is a solo recipe doesn’t mean you can’t make it to share!
M and I like to make this on a whim in summer whenever we want something refreshing and fruity.
It’s a great way to use up and revive red wine that’s a few days old.
I love that this recipe doesn’t require any fancy ingredients or ice (which I never have on hand when I need it)!
The frozen fruit does all the chilling you need.
Don’t forget to grab a spoon and eat the wine-soaked fruit at the bottom of the glass!
Cheers!
