Strawberry banana granola made oil-free with creamy almond butter and sweetened with maple syrup. Gluten-free with a grain-free option!
Hi friends!
I bought my first big carton of fresh strawberries this week.
They were the big bulbous deep red ones ones that you can’t help but stare at long and hard before sinking your teeth in.
Strawberry season is a little late this year in Virginia because of all the warm to cold to warm to cold weather patterns.
That’s OK, though, because I’ve been working a granola recipe with all of the strawberry vibes without disrupting the strawberry fields.
Remember that time I made Oil-Free Chunky Tahini Granola and became a little (OK, a lot) obsessed with it?
Well, I’m back with a new oil-free version today that’s equally delicious.
It starts with gluten-free oats, almonds, pecans, and shredded coconut.
Creamy almond butter replaces added oils and maple syrup adds unrefined natural sweetness.
Stir in my new favorite strawberry banana chips, and you have a strawberry banana bash!
I left the clusters fairly “chunky” here, but if you prefer a finer consistency try adding everything to the blender and pulsing for a few times to even things out.
This Strawberry Banana Almond Butter Granola is what I want to wake up to in spring and every day always.
It comes together in under 30 minutes with ingredients you can count on both hands.
Let’s do it!
What You Need to Make Strawberry Banana Almond Butter Granola
Here’s what you need to make this homemade granola:
- raw almonds
- gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats
- unsweetened shredded coconut flakes
- pure maple syrup
- runny almond butter
- Bare Snacks Strawberry Banana Chips or Bare Snacks Banana Chips
That’s it!
How to Make Strawberry Banana Almond Butter Granola
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add the almonds, coconut flakes, and rolled oats to a bowl and stir them with a spoon to combine.
Stir in the maple syrup and almond butter and stir again until well-combined.
Press the mixture onto the prepared parchment lined baking sheet.
Spread the mixture as evenly as you can by pressing down with your hands or the back of a spatula without making any holes where the parchment shows through.
Bake the pan for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are slightly browned.
Remove the granola from the oven and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Resist the urge to break the granola apart during this time to ensure for chunkiness later!
After the 30 minutes is up, break up the granola with your hands or a knife into large chunks.
Add in the banana chips and/or strawberry banana chips and toss to combine.
Bare Snacks Banana Chips
As you guys probably know, I don’t tolerate raw bananas very well.
That’s why I’m so obsessed with Bare Snacks Banana Chips!
I can eat these delicious and crispy baked banana rounds to get my banana fix in.
These 1-ingredient snacks are gluten free, grain free, refined sugar free, oil free, dairy free, vegan…
Oh hey, just like this granola!
I was really excited to sample their new Strawberry Banana Chips (ingredients are just strawberry and banana!).
It’s the same great banana chip with a strawberry twist and a lightly dusted pink finish.
The recipe calls for a blend of both the Banana and Strawberry Banana in this recipe, but you can pick one or mix them like I did.
Any Bare Snacks product can be substituted in here for a splash of color and real foods flavor.
I love throwing them in the granola for extra sweetness and crunch!
How to Serve Strawberry Banana Almond Butter Granola
Enjoy this Strawberry Banana Almond Butter Granola, anytime you want to prepare you own healthy granola with a fresh fruity finish.
It’s great for topping smoothie bowls, yogurt bowls, or oatmeal, or mixed in trail-mix.
Don’t be afraid to eat it by the handful…you worked hard for this ‘nola!
My favorite way to enjoy it is in a yogurt bowl topped with lots of fresh fruit and more almond butter.
Enjoy!

This granola is absolutely delicious and should come with a warning label…CAUTION: Strong will and self-control needed to avoid eating ALL in one sitting. Love this on top of my yogurt or smoothie.
