Quick and convenient apple nachos made with cinnamon, dried fruit, dark chocolate, granola, and a squeezable SunButter packet. Perfect for a speedy snack!
How many meals do you eat a day, boo?
I’m usually a 5-6 meals a day diner, spreading out the deliciousness in 2-3 hours windows.
M eats much less frequently than me, enjoying a satisfying breakfast and dinner, and occasionally, lunch.
During the move, I (sort of accidentally?) experimented with eating less frequently.
What’s the worst that could happen, I thought?
So the decision to spread meals out was due to curiosity, poor planning, and an amiable attempt to meet M in middle to break on boxes on eat together.
I’ve decided, however, after being near to tears one evening when we couldn’t decide on pizza takeout, that I do much better when I’m snacking.
Hanger is a very real thing and if prompted, M would probably tell you it’s not something he’d like to experience again!
Yeah, snacking makes me my best self.
Which is why I’m excited to share with you one of my most favorite snack ideas today.
These SunButter Apple Nachos are a delicious way to elevate your snack time in less than 5 minutes.
So, apple nachos?
Why, yes, I can slice an apple and cover it in my favorite toppings and call it a nacho if I want!
This recipe starts with a simple sliced apple that’s then plated and piled with good stuff.
Here’s what you need:
- apple
- ground cinnamon
- Organic SunButter packet
- raisins or dried cranberries
- granola
- dark chocolate chips
That’s it!
For the base, pick your favorite apple.
I’m partial to Fuji or Honeycrisp apples, personally, but M loves really tart apples like Granny Smith or Pink Lady.
*insert sour face here*
Next, gives the apple slices a health sprinkle of cinnamon.
Squeeze an Organic SunButter packet over the apple slices to make a drizzle pattern.
I love these convenient packets that are filled with my favorite sunflower seed butter.
Each packet is totally vegan, keto-friendly, sugar-free, and packed with plant-based seed-y protein.
Make sure to get *all* of the SunButter out.
I need to see your best toothpaste tube roll-out methods, here, friends!
Once your apple is plated, top the slices with raisins and dried cranberries and a spoonful of granola.
Chow down!
Enjoy these SunButter Apple Nachos as quick anytime snack.
I think it would be a great after school snack for kids or a grown up nacho plate for long days adulting.
Customize the toppings to make the plate a healthy snack, loaded breakfast, or sweet dessert.
And these Apple Nachos are meal prep-accessible and portable, too!
Try slicing the apples in advance in an airtight container with the cinnamon and a squeeze of lemon so they don’t brown.
Add your desired toppings to a separate bag and store them separately.
Combine the nachos on the spot for a sweet elevated pick-me-up!
I made these camping a few weeks back and enjoyed them for a much appreciated breakfast.
However, most of the time I make them on the spot for a midmorning snack.
Enjoy!
