Easy and nutritious brownies made with black beans and SunButter that are oil-free, gluten-free, and naturally sweetened with only bananas and dates.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 15 oz. can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2/3 cup gooey Medjool dates
  • 1/3 cup No-Sugar-Added SunButter
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1 cup gluten-free oat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup hemp hearts (+more for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F and line a 9 x 13 pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Add the bananas, black beans, almond milk, and Medjool dates to a high speed blender or food processor and process until you have a thick smooth batter.
  3. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and sift in the cacao powder, oat flour and baking powder and stir until smooth.
  4. Fold in the hemp hearts and stir again.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the lined baking pan and top with more hemp hearts and any other topping of choice.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week and freeze for long term storage.
