Description
Paleo chocolate chip waffles made with almond flour, cacao powder, canned coconut milk, and dark chocolate chunks. Serve with maple syrup for breakfast!
Ingredients
- 2 TBSP ground flaxseed meal + 6 TBSP filtered water (2 flax eggs)
- 1 1/2 cups almond flour
- ⅓ cup canned coconut milk lite
- ¼ Hu Kitchen Gems
- 1 TBSP raw cacao powder
- 1 TBSP pure maple syrup
- ½ tsp baking soda
- pinch of Himalayan sea salt
Instructions
- Spray your waffle iron with avocado oil and preheat.
- While the waffle iron heats up, whisk up the flax egg in a mixing bowl and allow to gel for ~5 minutes.
- Add in the coconut milk and maple syrup and mix to combine.
- Next, add in the almond flour, cacao powder, maple syrup, baking soda, and Himalayan sea salt. Mix thoroughly. The mixture should be thick but pourable.
- Lastly, add in your chocolate Gems.
- Pour the mixture into the waffle iron and heat until cooked throughout and golden brown on the outside, ~4-5 minutes.
- Serve immediately with pure maple syrup and more chocolate chips, if desired.
