Description

Keep your shakes interesting with strawberry and avocado layers! Enjoy this refreshing combo as a healthy breakfast, snack, or dessert.

Ingredients

Strawberry Layer

Avocado Layer

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • handful of spinach (frozen preferred)
  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower (or sub more frozen fruit instead)
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple, peaches, or mango
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Instructions

  1. If you have two blenders, fill one with ingredients for the Strawberry Layer and another with ingredients from the Avocado Layer. (see note for one blender options)
  2. Blend the Avocado Layer first, then the Strawberry Layer, until well combined and creamy. You want these shakes to be a little thick so the layers sit nicely on top of each other.
  3. Divide the avocado layer mixture between two glasses, filling the bottom. Follow by dividing the strawberry layer mixture on top of the avocado.
  4. Serve immediately with a strawberry garnish.

Notes

*If you don’t have two blenders, fill your blender with the avocado layer first, blend, then quickly rinse and add ingredients for the Strawberry Layer and blend.
**Alternatively, if you don’t care to make the layers but still want all of the Strawberry Avocado goodness, add all layer ingredients to a high speed blender and serve combined.
