Description
Viral Date Bark made nut-free with Medjool dates, No Sugar Added SunButter, sunflower seeds, and vegan dark chocolate. The best sweet treat!
Ingredients
- 10–12 gooey pitted medjool dates
- 2 TBSP No Sugar Added SunButter
- 2 TBSP roasted sunflower seeds
- ½ cup vegan dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Split the dates open and press them down onto the sheet, making sure they overlap a little so they stick together. I recommended using about a dozen dates so you make 3 rows of 4 or 4 rows of 3 to make a rectangle.
- Drizzle SunButter on top and use a spoon so spread it across the dates in a even layer. Sprinkle on the sunflower seeds.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a small microwave safe bowl by heating at 30 second increments until they are fully melted. Alternatively, you can melt them on the stovetop in a small saucepan, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Use a spoon to spread the chocolate on top of the SunButter layer so it coats everything.
- Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator or freezer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate has set. When the chocolate is set, the date bark is done! To serve, chop the bark into pieces and enjoy.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to one week and freeze for long term storage.
