A collection of my current 2023 favorites to inspire meaningful gift ideas for you and yours this holiday season. Happy holidays!
Happy happy holidays, friends!
I’m preparing to spend another holiday season in Germany with M and his family! Which means I had to do all of my holiday shopping VERY early to ensure everyone in the states received my gifts before I take a plane to Europe! I’m excited to share some of my favorite 2023 discoveries with you in this year’s holiday gift guide. There’s a wide range of genres and price points do you are guaranteed to find something for everyone in your life. Check them out and see if they might be a good fit for you or someone you love. Wishing you a very happy holiday season and new year!
1. Slip Scrunchies: ($39)
My hair dresser introduced me to these last year when I complained about the horrible creases regular elastic hair ties left in my impressionable hair. These Slip scrunchies are literally the best, because they don’t leave creases and they’re gently on your hair and reduce breakage. If you’re like me and like to tie your hair back a lot, they’re worth the investment! This is a great gift for anyone with longer tresses.
2. Eye of Horus Lash Lift Mascara: ($28)
I LOVE the application wand on this mascara! It has a slight curve that matches your eyelash line so you can make contact with all the tricky lashes. This mascara is also great because it’s 100% vegan and made with natural ingredients that are 8% organic. This is a great gift for anyone looking for natural makeup that performs!
3. Birth Month Flower Jewelry Dish: ($34)
I love these hand-crafted clay jewelry dishes in birth month flower designs! I have mine (April) on my nightstand that houses all of my most commonly worn jewelry. It’s the perfect size to hold my favorites and is a beautiful addition to my room. This is a great personalized gift for the jewelry wearers on your shopping list.
4. MATT & NAT Shoulder Bag in Herb: ($112)
This year I discovered Matt & Nat vegan bags! I love that their purses are crafted with 100% sustainable materials and made ethically. I’m a sucker for anything green, so I went with this shoulder bag in herb along with a matching wallet. I’m really impressed with the quality and durability so far! This is a great gift idea for the vegan fashionista on your list.
5. Ultra Soft Fleece Sherpa Blanket (prices vary)
I think I’ve purchased this blanket for almost all of my friends at this point. (Friends, if you haven’t received one yet, it’s probably coming for your next birthday!) It’s so cozy and feels like a hug every time I put it on. I love it so much that I purchased one for the downstairs couch and the upstairs yoga room in my house so I have comfort on both levels. Highly recommend this blanket for anyone who loves to be cozy and cocooned!
6. Bombas Socks (prices vary)
Last year my sister asked for socks for Christmas so I got her some Bombas, and, like any good sister would do, I purchased a pair for myself, too. And I’m SO glad that I did! This socks are still in amazing condition one year later and you can really feel the quality. The best way to describe them is putting on a new pair of socks everyday. Are you convinced? My tip is to hang them to dry them even though they’re drier safe, if your drier is harsh like mine is, to extend their life and reduce pilling. They have socks for all occasions and activities!
7. No Whey Chocolate (Everything Good Collection): ($29.50)
My BFF gifted me a box of these chocolates last year for Christmas and M and I enjoyed eating them SO much that I gifted myself a box of them for Valentine’s Day! If you’ve been missing out on chocolates because of dietary restriction or food allergens, these are the chocolates for you. These chocolates are 100% milk free, peanut free, tree nut free, gluten free, egg free, soy free, and sesame free, with no artificial colors or flavors. They’re deliciously decadent in fun flavors. Perfect for a chocolate lover on your list!
8. Liberty Sling Bag ($78)
My sister had a bag similar to this and when I saw how accessible and convenient it was I purchased one for myself. I love this sling bag for days walking in the city, live concerts, and trips to the farmer’s market. It’s the perfect bag to throw on when you want something lightweight and small. The best part is, you can shift it towards the front and access your cards and bag contents without taking it off. This is the perfect gift for anyone on-the-go!
9. JoyJolt Glass Food Storage Jars ($39.5)
This year I completely re-organized the kitchen and pantry in an effort to impress M’s parents when they came to visit from Germany, but I felt the positive effects for the rest of the year! These glass food storage jars were crucial in organizing all of my dry pantry goods. I loved storing flours, chips, cookies, nuts, and seeds in these jars instead of in their plastic containers. As a result, having a place to house pantry goods encourages me to buy in bulk. This gift is perfect for the organizer or new home owner on your list!
10. West Elm Ribbed Glass Table Lamp ($99)
I really don’t like the overhear lights in the “yoga room”, so I purchased this table lamp for a softer source of light. I wanted something soft and warm for reading, yoga classes, and relaxing. This glass table lamp is stylish and unique while delivering soft light bright enough to fill a room. I love how it creates a mood and energy in the room that far surpasses sterile overhear lighting. A great gift for anyone creating happy spaces.
11. Elm Dirt Plant Juice (16-oz) ($19.95)
This year a fellow plant lover encouraged me to try Plant Juice for my growing plant fam. Plant Juice is formulated with premium worm castings and other organic additives to help boost microbial activity and nutrients. I love that it’s 100% organic without any chemicals! I’ve been adding this to my plants once a week for most of this year and my plants have never been happier! This is a great gift for the plant lover on your list.
12. Antique Glass Bottle Hummingbird Feeder (prices vary)
M and I bought a hummingbird feeder this year after spotting hummingbirds hanging around the nasturtiums on our deck. It brought us *so* much joy watching hummingbirds this summer and early fall! I know this gift will only work for those of your lucky to have hummingbirds native to your location. If you are one of these few, check out this feeder. It worked wonderfully for us and made us some new hummer friends along the way.
13. Hario V60 Ceramic Coffee Dripper ($30)
We invested in a ceramic coffee dripper this year and fell in love with the classic Hario. It’s sleek and sturdy and makes my coffee just right every morning! This is a great gift for the coffee connoisseur who loves a good pour over.
14. BAGSMART Toiletry Bag Travel Bag ($31.99)
Since I’ve been doing more international travel AND camping with M, I needed a solid bag to house my toiletries. This BAGSMART bag does everything I coudl want out of a travel bag and more. It’s roomy with tons of compartments and manages to organize all of my toiletries, makeup and accessories (no small feat, I might add). I highly recommend this for anyone who travel frequently, or heck, even infrequently! A great gift idea for anyone with lots of bathroom “stuff”.
15. Ninja AF101 Air Fryer ($129.99)
Well, I finally did it. This year we purchased an air fryer to see what all of the fuss was about. And it was totally worth it! The air fryer is one of the few kitchen appliances that we keep out all year round. I love how it makes sweet potato fries effortlessly and we recently made the *best* cauliflower wings. I’m excited to continue using it for my recipes! This is a great gift idea for the cooking enthusiast!
16. Morse Code Bracelet ($15.98)
I love minimal meaningful jewelry and these morse code bracelets are special because they contain a customized message in morse code. I purchased one for my friend this year and thought I would share this gift idea with you. The wrist band is adjustable so it will fit any sized wrist! Perfect for the jewelry lover on your list.
