Turmeric Cauliflower Rice Bowls

By Flora & Vino 4 Comments

Turmeric Cauliflower Rice with “eggy” tofu scramble. Enjoy for a protein packed breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Serve with your favorite add-ons!

Turmeric Cauliflower Rice Bowls served with avocado

Hi friends!

How was your Fourth of July?

We took Harper to her first fireworks show, and, to be honest, she seemed a lot more interested in the pizza Dan was eating than the bursts of color exploding into the night sky.

Priorities.

Like mother like dogger, right?

My priority lately has been colorful cauliflower rice.

Specifically, these Turmeric Cauliflower Rice Bowls with “Eggy” Tofu.

They’re packed with bright colored veggies, anti-inflammatory turmeric, and some seriously good tasting tofu.

Ah, cauliflower rice.

A definite staple in my meal rotation.

Don’t get me wrong, I love me a good cauliflower rice burrito bowl, which is really my (and probably yours, too, right?) go-to cauliflower rice recipe.

Lately I’ve been doing this thing when I don’t have dinner, I just rip open a pack of frozen cauliflower rice into the skillet and LOAD. IT. UP.

It’s totally normal to eat an entire bag of cauliflower rice for dinner, right?

Lie to me.

Anyway, I decided that I was tired of the whole Mexican thing, and decided to go for a different take on things with a shake of turmeric and the addition of a colorful vegetable blend.

I had tofu left in the fridge, so I made a quick scramble on the side for protein and then threw both creations together.

The most random meal ever, right?

But this is how the best recipes are born, buds.

Avocado Tahini Pasta

By Flora & Vino 34 Comments

Oil-free pasta with a creamy avocado tahini sauce packed with vegetables and chickpea pasta. Perfect for an easy weeknight meal!

Avocado Tahini Pasta served in bowls with radishes, cherry tomato, and basil on distressed white board with pink and white towel

Sometimes summer eating can get a bit monotonous.

Like, should I have another salad or another smoothie bowl or maybe just go and feast on fruit all day?

I hear you.

Honestly, I’ve been feeling a bit in a rut myself, making different variations of the same thing on repeat.

I love my macro bowls and salads, but sometimes you need to throw a curveball in to keep the hunger alive.

It’s probably no surprise to you that I’m a bit obsessed with avocado and tahini.

The separate obsessions are real but now I have a new one: Avocado tahini.

As in, avocado and tahini together.

Forever.

Mix them together in this easy pasta dish for a fresh take on sauce!

This Avocado Tahini Pasta is creamy, lemony, and packed with healthy fats, veggies, and chickpea protein.

“Cheezy” Miso Kale Chips

By Flora & Vino Leave a Comment

Easy oil-free kale chips with a vegan “cheese” sauce made in just eight ingredients! Perfect for a nutritious snack– you won’t be able to eat just one!

"Cheezy" Miso Kale Chips baked on parchment lined baking sheet and served on white plates on yellow background

I’m writing this post in a different spot, friends.

Harper is to my right and the window is to my left and I’ve got my new Apple Music weekly playlist going.

Why am I telling you this?

Well, I’ve been working lately on trying to increase my productivity and creativity.

It seems like the sweet spot (for me) is a delicate hybrid of routine and change.

This means lugging my laptop to new locations to hopefully see things (eats) in a new perspective.

Kind of like these kale chips.

A classic, right?

Yes, but I bet you’ve never had them quite like this– with a salty sweet Miso Twist!

These “Cheezy” Miso Kale Chips are so easy to blend up with only eight ingredients and even easier to watch disappear with one hand.

Perfect 5-Ingredient Guacamole

The perfect 5-Ingredient Guacamole for snacking and dipping. Pair with carrot chips for a killer complimentary color combination!

Perfect 5-Ingredient Guacamole in a bowl surrounded by carrot chips by Flora & Vino

Can we talk about how much I love avocado?

Let me give you an idea in numbers and figures.

Last weekend when Dan went to the store I asked him to get 8-10 avocados.

And he didn’t bat an eye.

Partially for recipe testing this guacamole, but also because we actually eat that many avocados a week.

A day without avocado is like a day without sunshine…that’s a saying somewhere, right?

Grilled Tempeh Collard Wraps served on wooden board with Mango Salsa & Spicy Almond Butter Sauce

Who’s ready for a vacation get-away?

*waving both hands over here*

It’s really starting to feel like summer here in Virginia, and I’m in the mood to do a whole lot of nothing.

And by nothing I mean lay beach-front with a guilty pleasure good book, an ostentatiously fruit drink, and some tropical eats.

I can’t really help you out with the beach trip (we’ll get there!) but I’m excited to share these wraps that will take your taste-buds on vacation.

These Grilled Tempeh Collard Wraps with Mango Salsa & Spicy Almond Butter Sauce are the perfect protein packed meal with a sweet tropical vibe and a spicy finish.

Grain-free, plant-based, and oil-free; they’re perfect for the entire vacation party.

Better to send our taste-buds to paradise than nothing, right?

Roasted Strawberry Yogurt Bowls

By Flora & Vino 2 Comments

Roasted strawberry yogurt bowls topped with roasted strawberries! Roast your extra berries and enjoy for breakfast, snack, or dessert.

Roasted Strawberry Yogurt Bowls in bowls topped with roasted strawberries, fresh raspberries, fresh blueberries, and granola

Good morning and happy Sunday, loves.

I’m having one of those “get sh$!” done kind of mornings where I tackle all of those things on my TO-DO list that I didn’t realize were brain bog until they’re gone.

Whew.

The week feels lighter and it hasn’t even started yet.

In this same commitment to summer simplicity, I’m keeping my breakfasts light and breezy lately.

These Roasted Strawberry Yogurt Bowls are the perfect way to use up extra berries and create a fun spin on your (occasionally) too predictable yogurt bowl.

All you need is an excess of berries, your favorite yogurt, and some fun mix-ins!

Is your fridge overflowing with fresh berries like mine?

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I LOVE berries.

They’re my favorite fruit because they tend to be a little lower sugar and always make my mornings feel a little brighter.

Usually I throw them on my yogurt bowls fresh and simple (delicious), but sometimes I like to mix things up with some heat.

We went strawberry picking a few weeks ago and I came home with way too many berries.

What’s a berry lover to do with an excess of fresh strawberries?

…Roast ’em.
